An only daughter leaves home for college this year, leading Sallie Morgan, in "Miss Peach Leaves Home," to ponder the "empty nest" syndrome, the enormous changes for both parents and child, and the wonderful memories of their lives together. Her heartwarming autobiographical stories have enchanted Ki audiences for several years, as well as her role as Mary in The Shepherds Play.

Marion Winik, new to our Ki Theatre stage this year but a nationally know’n and critically acclaimed author and longtime commentator on NPR's All Things Considered," will round up the evening's storytelling with her funny and wrenching piece, "Where Mommies Come From." She has been designated a Rappahannockian-by-marriage because of her role as Joyce Abell's daughter-inlaw and the mother of her youngest granddaughter. Winik's forthcoming book, Rules for the Unruly, aimed at adolescents and their parents, will be appearing in bookstores this coming spring.
