Each second grade class played a special part. Mrs. Smith's and Mrs. Estes’ classes performed dances based on American Indian traditions taught by artist-in-residence Blue Horizon (Mary Jane Bird).
Mr. Glass' class demonstrated a craft, and Mrs. Payne's class taught first grade students Indian string games. Props and decorations were created by third grade students in their art classes.
