r Rappahannock's famous cookbook, "Rare [ Rappahannock Recipes," is scheduled to be on sale after Saturday, Oct. 28. The revised edition of the now-famous first copy, published in 1928 by the ladies of Woodville Baptist Church, has been revised and re-published by the ladies of Mt. Lebanon and Woodville Baptist churches combined. The ladies who worked on this new copy, refused to list their names and just retained the names of the ladies who compiled the original book. Another well-known productive Rappahannock farm has been sold to another interesting family of Washington, D.C., who are to add to our substantial citizens. The heirs of the late R.L. Rudasill have sold their farm, located on the Thornton River, four miles north of Woodville to Mr. and Mrs. H.L. Manwaring. S.E. Hening, broker of Sperryville handled the sale. The farm consists of approximately 500 acres, a six-room dwelling, and 13 outbuildings and faces the Thornton River for half a mile. It is known as one of the most fertile and prosperous farms of the county.
