Questions about the genesis of the administrative assistant position led Mayor Willis to read the three page job description for the position. Ray Gooch responded to that recitation by noting that "When I was on the Council, everything on that list was done by the Mayor, the Treasurer and the Clerk," and he suggested that Council members had the responsibility to do the work that the administrative assistant was being paid to do.
