Amendment to Article III, Chapter 151

“Utility Taxes”

Of the Rappahannock County Code

On Monday, November 6, 2000, at 7:00 p.m. at the Courthouse in Washington, VA, the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors shall consider amendments to the Rappahannock County Code relating to utility taxes. The Amendments remove the existing Article III and replace it with a new Article III conforming the existing Rappahannock County Utility Taxes to current state law, adding a tax on cellular telephone service, and eliminating the tax on natural gas.

A complete text of the proposed changes is available for inspection at the County Administration Office, located at 290 Gay Street, Washington, VA 22747. All interested persons are invited to attend and to make comment, or to direct their comments in writing to Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors, RO. Box 519, Washington, VA 22747.
