David Olney is finally getting his due. One of the best kept secrets in American music, the songwriter and singer has long had the admiration of his peers. But the unique style and substance of his work has made it difficult to put him in a commercial niche. However, Olney, who will play at The Theatre in Washington, on Sunday, Oct. 22 at 6 p.m., is beginning to get that elusive national attention due in large part to the rave reviews of his latest album, "Omar's Blues."
