Efforts to make a positive identification of human remains found last week on the Eldon Farm property near Sperryville are continuing, but a lack of information about the deceased has made the process difficult, according to Rappahannock Sheriff Larry Sherertz.

"Currently, the Virginia State Police are trying to locate family members, so that they can obtain dental records for a positive identification," said Sherertz. "It appears that he was from New York State, and had no ties to this area."
