The women of Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington are finishing the floral arrangements for sale this weekend at the annual dried flower sale. The Dried Flower Sale and House Tour will take place on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 22 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Preparation of flower arrangements takes a great deal of time in preparing for this event. Select mixtures of wild and cultivated flowers have been gathered from field, garden and greenhouse. These have been dried by various techniques and arranged for sale at the weekend event. Many of the arrangements are prepared by women who have been doing this for many years (if not the entire 43 years). Floral arrangements have been made on the second floor of Trinity House and are being brought to the Parish Hall for display and sale.
