Listed on the Virginia Landmark Register, the house has been a Bed and Breakfast since 1995 when Ms. Kuhn, formerly a Washington Post reporter and CBS producer, renovated the estate and turned it into a five bedroom inn. While Middleton Inn is not on tour, you can look into the formal drawing room or, weather permitting, take your teacup outside and enjoy a view of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.
Tour tickets, $15 are available at Trinity Church on the corner of Gay Street, Washington and at the tour houses. Dried flower arrangements are for sale at the Parish Hall. Tour and sale proceeds support local charities and beautification. For information contact Trinity at 540-675-3716.
