Cross Country
The RCHS Cross Country team hosted the Madison Country Mountaineer runners at the Bleu Rock Inn course Wednesday, Oct. 11 for their final home meet of the year. The Panther boys lost 19-44, but six of the RCHS runners finished under 29 minutes.
Phillip Thomas led the Rapp squad with a time of 19:28 over the hilly three mile plus course.
This placed him second overall and he was followed by RCHS' Chris Graves (ninth), Jason Gainer (14), Hiroki Shimizu (16), Jon Sheffield (17), and Chris Ehrhart (18).
The Lady Panther runners were missing their Ace, Alyssa Berry, who did not run because of sore knees. Rachel Sharp stepped up and led all Lady Panther runners with a very good time of her own, finishing fourth overall with a time of 24:57.
She was followed by RCHS’ Elaine Smith (ninth), Holly Long (12), Kori Alexander (14), Karie Von Fange (16), and Katie Giles (19).
