At the Washington Town Council meeting last Wednesday, I was appalled that half a dozen people in the audience applauded when a pay increase and vacation pay for the To\yn Administrative Assistant were voted down by Council.
Votes taken on some issues in government unfortunately hurt some people. I have been involved in several, but I have never taken pleasure in them. They have cost me a good nights sleep on those occasions.
