For the next few weeks, the Rappahannock Historical Society will be closed as members and volunteers pack up research materials and archives from the society’s temporary headquarters on Mount Salem Avenue in preparation for the much anticipated move to its “new” building on Gay Street.
The Historical Society will be closed during this move now through March 9.
On March 12, the society will reopen its doors to the public in its renovated building which boasts a new and much needed addition.
The Historical Society wishes to extend a big thank you to CCLC for its support in providing temporary office space at the old Washington School while the historical society’s addition was under construction.

Advisory Council
slated to meet
The Special Education Advisory Council will meet on Thursday, Feb. 22 in the library at RCES at 3:30 p.m. The committee will learn about the new achievement test that has been developed and discuss questions about federal monitoring that is ongoing.
