Fauquier County Government State Income Tax Division, Office of the Commissioner of the Revenue, is recruiting for a full-time Deputy Commissioner II. This high public contact position will assist taxpayers with the preparation of tax forms; answer inquiries regarding state tax filings and property assessments; perform data entry. The position will also perform record keeping, filing, word processing and auditing functions.
Qualified applicants should possess some office experience as well as excellent customer service skills. The ability to exercise judgement and problem solve is essential. Familiarity with Microsoft Office is preferred. A high school diploma or GED, and some state income tax preparation experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience relating to performance of job duties is desired. Minimum starting salary $21,392/yr.
