The April 22 Fairfax Hunt Point-to-Point was forced to relocate last year while its traditional Belmont Plantation home near Leesburg undergoes changes for the new Belmont Country Club. The club was designed to allow for a new racecourse, however, so racing is expected to return to the Route 7 course eventually. The race committee will announce the spring meet's location soon, though it was not yet decided at press time. Last year's Fairfax Races were held at nearby Morven Park.
The April 29 Middleburg Hunt Point-to-Point at Glenwood Park retains the same schedule, and the season finale is the May 6 Bull Run Hunt Point-to-Point in Culpeper. The foxhunters' relay, a popular idea but not well-supported, has been dropped and is replaced with a junior foxhunters' flat race. The intriguing draft horse sprint" closes the program.
