A 2001 Stocker Cattle workshop will be March 2 from 9 a.m. to 2:35 p.m. at the Marshall Ruritan Building in Marshall. Topics will include: Reducing and Treating Respiratory Disease: Internal and External Parasite Control; Control and Treatment of Pinkeye; Seasonal Price Trends; Pasture Supplements; Custom Feeding as a Marketing Option and Use of Pasture Stick in Forage Stand Evaluation. Free Clinic sets hours

The Rappahannock Free Clinic, a local operation of the Fauquier Free Clinic, Inc., will be open on the first and third Wednesdays of each month. The clinic will next be open March 7. Patient registration ! is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Public Health Department Building.

The Free Clinic is a cooperative effort of local doctors, nurses, and administrators to provide excellent primary health care and medicines to Rappahannock area citizens with limited means. For additional information call 347-0394.

Youth Alive!

Exciting news for youth, ages 10-18 of the Culpeper and Rappahannock areas. Come join the Youth Alive Group at Amissville, an exciting new youth ministry with contemporary Christian music and awesome Bible teaching. Youth Alive meets at the Viewtown Store on Saturdays from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Subs, pizza, snacks and drinks will be available for purchase following the meeting. Black History Month program

In celebration of Black History month, the Culpeper County Library is pleased to announce that Dr. Mwizenge Tembo will be presenting his variety show, “BambaZonke" on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. His program is designed to entertain people of all ages and families are particularly invited to attend the event. Seating is on a firstcome first-serve basis, and is limited to 125 people. The program is free of charge to all community members; it is being sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Dr. Tembo, a professor of Sociology at Bridgewater College was bom in 1954 in the country of Zambia in Southern Africa. While growing up among the Tumbuka people in the 1950’s and 1960's, he was fascinated by African traditional dances, drumming and storytelling. Dr. Tembo’s wide range of cultural experiences and first hand knowledge of African culture make him an entertaining storyteller, African drummer and African traditional and modem dancer, as well as an articulate teacher.
