lending his grant writing expertise to this effort, we are nearing the end of the initial planning stage.
One of the requirements of the grant is the establishment of partnerships with agencies and businesses within the community. Last week I had the opportunity to sit in on a meeting with representatives of a variety of community agencies and businesses who were asked to think about ways that they might be involved in this program.
The levels of involvement may vary from monetary support to actual planning and supervision of classes on site, or simply providing manpower or materials for a particular event or class. The comments expressed and the interest shown in this program by those in attendance were most gratifying.
