Emergency Planning to meet
The Rappahannock County Local Emergency Planning Committee will meet Feb. 23 at 10 a.m. at the courthouse Interested residents are invited to attend.

Share the Fun Talent Show set
The 4-H Share The Fun Talent Show will be held Friday, March 24 at the Rappahannock County High School Anyone interested in performing can pick up information at the Rappahannock County Elementary or High Schools or the Extension Office
Try outs are Tuesday, March 6 at the Rappahannock County High School after school at 3:30 p.m. In case of public school closing or bad weather conditions, rehearsals will be canceled. For further information, call the Extension Office at 675-3619.
Flint Hill sets carnival dates
The Flint Hill Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company’s annual fireman’s carnival has a new date and also new rides for this year. The dates are June 13-16 and Virginia Premier Events will provide the rides.
The grand parade will be held Friday, June 15 with grand prize drawings on Saturday, June 16. This year’s prizes are a 2001 Chevy S-10 pickup and a registered Black Angus heifer Anyone interested in helping with the carnival may call the firehouse at 675-3286. “Be sure to mark the new dates on your calendar so you don’t miss this annual event, fun for the whole family," said an organizer.
