The Mayor noted that he and Mr. Critzer, with Resources International, looked at the CloptonAnderson and the VDOT properties to determine their suitability for a Town drainfield, and that they will soon examine the Carrigan property as well.
* Mayor Willis said that the Emergency Communications Committee met and that they are looking at “two or three receivers in the mountains, and that it isn’t going to help to raise the antenna at the Sheriff’s Office.”
* The Town Council okayed a resolution of support for the RappahannockRapidan Regional Commission’s “Visioning 2001.”
* The Mayor noted that the time capsule plaque is ready for pick-up.
* In the public comments portion of the meeting, discussions reemerged on the value of Town-wide wastewater treatment. The Mayor held discussion to a minimum by announcing that the issue would be more broadly dealt with in the near future.
