Prior to the call to order of the February meeting, Mayor Willis asked for a moment of silence in honor of Junior Hawkins who recently passed away. The Mayor noted that Mr. Hawkins was a long-time Town resident, and that his wife Dorothy had served on the Town Council for some time. Treasurer’s report
Treasurer Elaine Viguerie reported on the Town’s finances, noting consolidated assets of $557,181.88, up slightly from that reported in January, and Water Works current assets of $9,544.95 through the end of the January period.
Other activities
• Mayor Willis reported that he recently received a topographic survey of the new reservoir location, and that he had passed it on to the landowners for review. He said that he expected a response within two weeks.
