The Sahara Marathon is sponsored by the U.S. Western Sahara Foundation, shelter for Life International, and the National Union of Sahrawi Women. The Sahara Marathon event is designed to help kindle Sahrawi spirit, build hope and provide funds the for medical, educational and nutritional needs of the Sahrawi children.
