Tom Taylor of Sperryville, owner of T.G. Taylor Construction was recently honored by North American Housing Corporation as one of the company’s top 100 builders. Mr. Taylor was inducted into the company’s Golden Eagle Club, an honor bestowed on the company’s top affiliated builders.
The March-April issue of Country Accents magazine includes three photo essays set in Rappahannock County by Franklin and Esther Schmidt of Woodville. The first is Ellis and Joanne Bingham’s combination kitchen and family near Amissville. This house was included in the 1989 house tour. Next is an article with pictures about last spring"s progressive dinner sponsored by the Bed and Breakfast Guild of Rappahannock County. The third photo essay is on Richard and Joy Cartwright-Brown’s Blue Knoll Farm Bed and Breakfast.
Social Studies students at RCES learn about Native American art by producing their own images based on the Plains Indian’s medicine wheel concept. Artist Laurie Marshall worked with about 60 fifth graders who painted 15 different acrylic images.
