These students are learning skills that they hope to transfer to the work place right after high school. She brought a scrap book and video which was enthusiastically received by the membership. Last year the children and their teacher and several chaperons went on a cruise to the Bahamas. Mrs. Logan reported that a trip to Alaska is being planned for 2001.
“I want my students to have dreams and to realize that if there is something you really want, you have to work for it”, stated Mrs. Logan in an article featured in the Virginia Journal of Education, October 1999.
After the meeting, the teachers went to the Country Cafe for a delicious luncheon.
The next meeting will .be in March 2001.
