Festival in March held as the 'chasing championship. The Triumph Hurdle is restricted to 4-year-olds; other races are carded for older hurdlers, 2mile chasers, novice chasers, amateur chasers and more.
The highlight of the midweek Festival is Thursday's Gold Cup, an open three-mile steeplechase. The Triumph is on the Group I Gold Cup undercard.
