At the February meeting of the Washington Town Council, Town Attorney John Bennett responded to the Mayor’s earlier request by presenting information on the acceptability of the use of Town property for siting a storage facility for Fourth of July fireworks.
The site evaluated by Mr. Bennett is the well site on Route 622 at the Rush River (ref. Deed Book 139, page 624). Mr. Bennett said that the site includes an area of roughly 10,000 square feet that is owned by the Town fee simple, and that would thus have no restrictions upon it that would prohibit its use for an additional structure, subject only to the approval of the County Zoning Administrator.
