The Cowherd Award is a newlyformed award in memory of Leonard Cowherd, a former WCDS graduate who was killed in action in Iraq.
The award is not only based on athletic endeavors, but also includes academic status, a willingness to assist in the school and community, participation in at least two sports in the recipient’s senior year and being a role model for their peers.
