Additionally students at RCHS will have the chance to sample sushi from Japan and doro wat from Ethiopia. Picnic lunches will be provided al fresco. RCHS students will enjoy a spectacular display of the Thai art of fruit and vegetable carving by a Thai sculptor graciously provided by the Embassy of Thailand.

of ‘Solazo’

After the students enjoy the tastes and visual delights of the festival, they will be escorted to the high school auditorium for a professional performance of Latin American music. RCPS is pleased to provide accommodations for the headlining act, Solazo, a group of five extraordinary singers and musicians. Solazo will be performing at both schools and RCPS believes that the schools are fortunate to have this valuable “cross-cultural experience” available to the students. Solazo is being jointly sponsored by the RCPS, CEP (Curriculum Enrichment Program), RAAC (Rappahannock Association for the Arts and Community) and Headwaters Global Spotlights program.
