Talk-In Real Estate
What is a professional designation1 The following are examples of some of the symbols of professional designations that can be earned by Realtors who choose to continue their education in Real Estate. GRI, CRS, CRB, ABR, SRES, E-PRO, CCIM, CRE, ARM, CPM. Once a Realtor has successfully completed the requirements of these courses they earn the right to use the designations after their name. These symbols show that this person has a certain level of experience, performance and expertise within a certain specialty of the profession. Realtors often refer clients to each other and will often go to the directory of those who hold these designations to refer their clients. They want to be sure the person has the experience and expertise to properly service their clients. It is a policy within our office that new agents will obtain a professional designation within 2 years of joining the firm. It is similar to a person in the education field getting a Masters Degree or PHD. It’s about getting as much education as you can. The next time you select a Realtor; look for the symbols after their name. If you are thinking of buying or selling, give me a call.
