Nathan Hartshorn, a tenth grade student in Natalie Hill’s English class, is helping her design a passport that students will carry and have stamped every time they visit a country.
“Nathan is terrific at graphic arts,” said Hill. “He didn’t hesitate when I asked for his input at graphically designing my rudimentary drawing.”
Mike Strand’s Entrepreneurship class has enthusiastically been working on creating the English pub experience. Ninth grader “L.B.” Larry Brown Settle said, “We have been researching pub names and have decided on The Happy Mushroom.” Fantastic food flavors
While visitors won’t be able to imbibe traditional pub beverages, they will be able to ingest scones with lemon curd provided by the RCHS Culinary Arts program.
The program, headed by Mary Arthur, promises to outdo last year’s menu. At both campuses, tantalizing samples of foreign foods will be offered such as: crepes suzette and chocolate mousse from France; tamales with tomatillo sauce from Mexico; empanadas from Argentina; souvlaka from Greece; baklava from Turkey; lamb meatballs with couscous from Morocca; and bul gogi from
