Scott’s wife, Margi L. Scott, 61, was a passenger in the vehicle and was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries sustained in the accident.
Damage to Scott’s vehicle was estimated at $6,000.
Virginia State Police Trooper Corbin charged Piantadosi with failure to yield the right of way.

James Leak, 63, of Sperryville was charged with failure to yield the right of way on Monday, May 30 when the 2003 Chevrolet Impala he was driving entered the intersection of Rt. 231 and Rt. 522 . in Sperryville, forcing Brian Deevy, 47, of Minesing, Ontario, who was driving a 1986 Honda Goldwing motorcycle, off the roadway.
Deevy sustained minor injuries to himself and his vehicle, according to Virginia State Police Trooper Derrick Mauck.
