Anyone interested in learning more about the Civil War?
There will be a series of mini-courses held at Rappahannock County High School starting June 15 through July 20, each Wednesday from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
Sponsored by Lord Fairfax Community College, the cost is $115 which includes a transportation fee for a field trip on July 20. Participants not wishing to take part in the full sixweek session may also enroll for particular sessions at a cost of $15 per session and $35 for the tour.
The sessions are conducted by Prof. Jonathan A. Noyalas, an instructor at the college, who will provide participants* with a clearer understanding of the military campaigns in Virginia and Maryland in 1862 and how those campaigns birthed arguably the finest army in the Confederacy — the Army of Northern Virginia.
