After finding their dream house the Coombs bought the place in November of 1985 and moved in September of the following year. “We had a full crew begin work on the place the first of March and we just tore everything out of it,” said Charlie who explained the couple was eager to get renovations started. “We were here every weekend,” added Paige.
The Coombs worked tirelessly to restore the old cabin. Paige explained that every family that owned the house had added onto it throughout the years and the Coombs spent a lot of time trying to get the additions to look as close to the original building as possible.
