GED practice test offer
Regional Adult Education is offering the GED practice test on June 2 at 4 p.m. The practice test will be held at G. W. Carver Center for Applied Learning on Route 15 between Culpeper and Orange counties. You must pre-register for the practice test. For more information call, (540) 825-0476 or to pre-register.
Cemetery clean-up
Descendants, friends and neighbors of the Bolen family will meet on Saturday, June 4, to have their bi-annual cemetery clean-up/ picnic day at the Bolen cemetery on Pig Nut Mountain. Any and all attending are invited to meet at the end of Keyser Run Road (Rt. 622) by 11 a.m. If you have a truck or 4x4 to help carry folks and supplies, you’re needed! Bring a dish or drink to share at the picnic.
Coffee House
On Saturday, June 4, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. there will be a Coffee House at Rappahannock County Elementary School. There will be 21 acts, featuring local student and adult music, classical to bluegrass and almost everything in between including poetry and readings.The cost is $5 for adults with reduced prices for students. Come enjoy a real Cajun dinner for an additional $5 from 6-8 p.m. Jambalaya, red beans, rice and salad will be served.
The 'Coffee House is sponsored by the Rappahannock County High School Band Boosters.
Belle Meade Day Camp Open House
Come visit Belle Meade Day Camp Sunday, June 5 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The day camp offers an active outdoor program of swimming, hiking, canoeing, arts and crafts, and informal sports for boys and girls 6-13. Five two-week sessions run from June 13 to August 19. Transportation is available from Amissville, Washington, Sperryville, Culpeper, and Madison. International Festival
It just keeps getting better every year. Plan on attending the third annual International Festival to be held, Wednesday, June 8, at the Rappahannock County Elementary and High School, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
There will be lots to see and learn about countries around the world including delicious new foods to try, demonstrations, music and more.
