BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY, VIRGINIA

PURSUANT to Section 170-129 of the Rappahannock County Code and Section 15.2-2204 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended, notice is hereby given that the Board of Zoning Appeals for Rappahannock County, Virginia, will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at seven-thirty (7:30) in the evening at the courthouse in Washington, Virginia, in order to consider the following applications:

David L. and Lisa R. Jones, owners of 54.31 acres in Jackson District (Tax Map 43,) Parcel 3A, zoned A' - Agricultural) known as 137 Ida Belle Lane, Amissville, desire a Special Use permit for a family apartment to be attached to an existing barn. Use allowed under Section 170-36A of the Rappahannock County Code; with additional standards under Section 170-62G of the Code.

No applicant or other party in interest, and no attorney for an applicant or party in interest, shall initiate a contact with a member of the BZA for the purpose of conducting a private discussion, in person or by telephone, concerning the merits of any application, appeal, or other matter pending before the BZA. No member of the BZA shall participate in any such private discussion. Site visits or similar contacts initiated by BZA members shall not constitute such ex parte contacts.

A copy of the foregoing application is on file at the Zoning Office in Washington, Virginia, and is available for public inspection, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Said application will be presented to the Rappahannock County Planning Commission at their regular meeting on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at seven-thirty in the evening at the Rappahannock County Courthouse for such recommendation as the Commission may wish to make pursuant to Section 170-55, if any. The above-named applicant, adjacent property owners, and any other parties desiring to be heard should be present at said meeting or should address their written comments to the Board of Zoning Appeals, c/o P.O. Box 519, Washington, Virginia 22747, in advance thereof.
