Amissville Cub Scout Pack 50 visited the National Zoo in Washington on June 1 and also enjoyed a picnic lunch. There were twelve scouts and five leaders joined by some family and friends.
Wakefield Country Day School held its third annual Spring Horse and Pony Show Saturday at the Fauquier Livestock Exchange where junior riders from Warren, Clarke, Frederick, and Rappahannock counties competed iii equitation classes and gymkhana events. The show, a fund raiser for the school, provided an afternoon of fun and games for all participants and was judged by Miss. K. T. Jones of Orlean.
Wade T. Brown , son of Mr. and Mrs. > George Hagerty of Sperryville has been promoted to airman in the U.S. Air Force. The rank of airman is the first promotion for enlisted personnel. Brown is assigned to Kelly Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is a graduate of Rappahannock County High School.
