Preparation is
underway for International Festival

Momentum for the Third Annual International Festival on June 8 is building at both Rappahannock County Public School campuses as students eagerly transform their classrooms into exotic international locations.
At the high school, glimpses into the classrooms already reveal displays of artifacts, photos, and artwork. Tenth graders Kelli Maige and Virginia Staley were busily painting art teacher Joy Sours’ door with symbols from Germany.
“This year the students, along with their first period teachers, were given a country to represent. The teachers assigned projects and the decorating began,” said Staley. On the day of the International Festival students will be free to explore all of the nations set up in individual classrooms. Students will be able to savor the culture and food of various countries that will include France, Egypt, Canada, Germany, Argentina, Kenya, Ireland, Morocco, Afghanistan,
