A piece of land measuring almost one and one-half acres near Castleton could boost Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company, Inc.’s (AVFR) budget, allowing it to purchase a backup generator for the Amissville facility at an approximate cost of $50,000*

However, this boost could only come if the Rappahannock County Board of Zoning Appeals approves a variance, adjusting the required 100foot setback requirements sited by the county’s ordinance.

Currently, the 1.4272 acre lot.
