Paige and Charlie Coombs are the proud owners of a home that was recently featured in Early American Life Magazine. Because of its history and decorative charm the little log cabin was just what the magazine was looking to feature.
The Coombs have been residents of Rappahannock County for close to 19 years now. When they first decided to move from their home on the Eastern Shore in Maryland they knew they were looking for a small cabin they could renovate in a fairly rural area.
After scouting out the Virginia region, they soon settled on Rappahannock County as a place to find a home, and subscribed to the local newspaper to get a better feel for the county and the people it was - home to. After a little over two years a house came on the market that fit the description the Coombs were seeking.
It was a log cabin that had been built around a log cabin dating back to 1790 and it was called The Cabin on Mill Run. Originally part of a 1,200 acre farm owned by the Mozingeau Family, the land had been
