“I saw Middle America, and it restored my faith in human nature,” said Parish. “People by and large are good,” he added.
However, Parish didn’t set off on a bicycle ride across America to find out how nice people are. In fact, he doesn’t seem to have much of an idea why he did it.
“That’s a common question,” he laughed. “A lot of people asked me that, and I have no good answer.”
