results
The U-12 Girl’s Rappahannock Soccer teams finally got to play some soccer this weekend, as the last two weekends had been rained out.
Both teams played their first games three weeks ago at Madison, and the Sour Apples and the Blue Bombers both had wins.
The Sour Apples team consist of Jessica Coello, Sarah Henry, Haley Hogan, Caitlin Humbles, Maria Lee, Cullen McCarthy, Fiona McCarthy and Bryn Sonnett.
The Blue Bombers are Peyton Bailey, Danielle Boutte, Shelby Burnett, Eleasha, Clement Lauren Light, Emily Pearcy, Felicia Stonecipher, Allison Stuart and Briana Winkworth.,
On April 29, both teams again traveled to Madison to face not only tough teams, but a tough playing field.
The Sour Apples dominated their game, and Marie Lee was able to score one late in the second half. Final score was 1-0.
The Blue Bombers were up against a very tough and talented team, but were unable to score. Danny Boutte, one of the Blue Bombers toughest players, was injured in the first half and unable finish. Final score 0-4 in favor of Madison.
Both teams play again this Saturday at 10 a.m. Culpeper’s Emerald Hill School.
