This year, the team included returning student Larry Oliver, accompanied by Clay Vickers, Matthew Bywaters, and Chris Nugent.

The team worked for over five hours on their on-site problem, using aerial orthophotographic files, digital elevation models, census data, and vector files (including street, stream, hydrology, structures). This team effort won them second in the state.

Oliver, Bywaters and Kev Martin went on to take second in the Systems Control Technology contest, using software and Legos to solve their on-site problem. “I know this sounds very childish and nerdy, but I played with Legos all weekend,” said Martin.
