was admitted to telemetry. This is where I came to know and care about Annie.
Annie’s heart was temporarily weakened, but in a day or two she was better and ready to got home.
Annie kept her home tidy and enjoyed gardening. She just needed to rest and get back to her routine of getting up early and working on her household chores. In the following days, Annie’s neighbors, friends and grand niece Kerry - her sole relative in the area - dropped by to check on her. Annie never seemed to get her, work started; she was distracted by the interruptions, wanting to rest and talk with her company.
Eventually Annie caught another cold, which she could not shake. She was soon readmitted to the hospital.
When Annie was in the hospital, she was treated by a specialist instead of her familiar doctor. She tolerated him. Annie liked the nurses better and always wanted to share stories from her years as an educator. She was eager to be discharged; she wanted to get back to her routine.
