Treasurers Office Supervise five collectors and one bankruptcy specialist In the Sterling Treasurer s Office. This position requires adherence and enforcement of the Fair Credit Reporting Act and all applicable state and county ordinances. Other responsibilities include management of the annual court paper process, monitoring and reporting on the status of all collection accounts, assisting various county departments with the collections process, working with state agencies and systems and handling debt set-off. Serves as primary point of contact with the State of Virginia and outside vendors and agencies on collections and status of accounts. Position requires the ability to work In a fast-paced environment, excellent verbal and written communication skills, a high degree of professionalism in exercising care with confidential information, and attention to detail. Requires Bachelor’s degree and three years financial experience to Include supervisory experience. Prefer experience with local government and/or financial Institution collections management experience. A criminal background check and credit check will be performed on the successful candidate.
