Whatever it was, it was doing its killing at night. The strips didn’t work. We found another pile of bluebird feathers on the ground at the bird house, and no bluebirds for two days.
I took down the nest, and found five cold eggs in it. I put the bird house in the garage, and took down another that we had put up, which wasn’t being used.
The previous owner had one bird house, which had not been used in years, nailed to a light pole. I neglected to take that bird house down. Before we knew it, another pair of bluebirds were building in there.
