TViesday, June 13 was Virginia’s Democratic Primary.
For one day in historically conservative Rappahannock County, the Democrats ruled.
For one day, everyone exiting the polls was able to make the same joke when asked how they had voted:
“I voted for the Democrat,” they all said. It’s funny every time. Apparently, the Democrat they meant here and all over Virginia was James Webb, who won handily in Rappahannock, taking almost 74% of the vote compared to 53% state wide, beating opponent Harris Miller. Webb will get the chance to challenge incumbent Republican Senator George Allen
