Allison has excelled in academics, participated in several sports, including serving as the captain of the Rappahannock County High School varsity cheer squad. She has contributed to her school by serving as both Student Council President and Senior Class President for 2005-2006. Allison also enjoys playing the clarinet in the school band which she has done for several years. She has served her community in numerous volunteer positions, including as 4-H counselor for four years. Last year, with the help of two other Girl Scouts, she organized and ran the annual Rappahannock 4-H Day Camp. Remembering the days that she enjoyed attending summer camp, Allison worked for several months with the extension office to coordinate a successful and pleasurable experience for her young campers. “t spent 150 hours this past summer planning and implementing my “Rebuilding of Rappahannock 4-H Day Camp' for my Girl Scout Gold Award, but it did not feel like work at ail. It was the most rewarding experience of my life to see so many young children enjoying themselves the same way I did ten years ago," said Allison.
