movie projector at me Theatre
Due to technical difficulties, the movie projector at The Theatre has been returned to the manufacturer for servicing. While servicing is being performed, Metro Technical Services in Maryland is loaning a projector to RAAC so that the movies can continue on schedule. RAAC would like to thank the movie-going community for their patience during the showing of “Walk the Line” and “Memoirs of a Geisha” where video problems occurred. Hopefully, they will be resolved shortly and the movie projector will be returned, but in the meantime films will continue and we hope to see you all there. June 17: Third Annual Courage Cup
’ This annual charity polo match will be held on June 17 at Great Meadow Polo Club in The Plains. Benefiting the Work to Ride charity, this event originated as a way to bring young professionals in Washington, D.C. Together with the polo community for a good cause and a good time. June 17: Scrabble School
Benefit Yard Sale
On Saturday, June 17, from 9 a.m to 4 p.m , the Scrabble School Preservation Foundation will hold a yard sale to raise funds for the rehab of the Scrabble School building and grounds. As approved by the Board of Supervisors, the property will house the Rappahannock County Senior Citizen Center and the Scrabble School Heritage Center. All funds raised will go to the rehab and reuse project. The Foundation will accept donated items of good, resalable quality for the event. All items donated may be tax deductible.
