On April 8 we received the

most devastating call that our son, Franklin Hitt was in a severe auto accident in Boston. He ran off the side of Route 522 in his truck striking an embankment and a tree just a few miles from his home. He was flown to the trauma unit at Fairfax Inova Hospital.

There are not enough words in the world to express our love, thanks and appreciation to all our friends, neighbors and ministers for their acts of kindness, for their calls, visits, cards, flowers and prayers during his difficult time. They were so very greatly appreciated by us.

The many acts of compassion shown to us have been so numerous that it is impossible to acknowledge each of you personally for fear that we would miss someone. We hope that you will accept this note as a humble expression of our appreciation and gratitude for the concern that you showed our son during this time. Our words can never express how grateful we are.

Franklin Hitt has been transfered to Warrenton Overlook Health and Rehabilitation for therapy. He is doing much better, but still has a long road to go. If you would like to send him a card, to brighten his day, at Warrenton Overlook, 360 Hospital Drive, Warrenton, Va. 20186, Att: Franklin Hitt, Room 407 B

We are truly blessed to have such a caring community and friends who take care of those in times of need. Our words can never express how grateful we are.

Without all of you and the Lord above, we would not have made it through this far.

From our hearts, once again, thank you one and all!

Mary Anna Hitt and family
