Her favorite trips included visiting her daughter in Greece, backpacking with her two daughters across Europe, taking an Alaskan cruise with her husband and numerous drives down the Blue Ridge Parkway.
In Castleton Betty and Earl are members at the Hazel River Assembly of God, where Betty was involved with the Women’s Ministries.
The Judys contributed to the founding of the Rappahannock County Public Library.
In recent years Betty enjoyed taking care of and playing with her four grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, Earl Judy of Castleton, her daughter, Carla Nicole Martin and son-in law Thomas Martin also of Castleton, her daughter, Pamela Devon Lovell and son-in-law Rhys Lovell of Bloomington, Illinois, her grandchildren, Connor Earl and Hollis Ford Martin and Carys Rose and William Auden Lovell, and her sister, Patsy Sponaugle of Louisville, Kentucky.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 15, at 11 a.m. at the Hazel River Assembly of God Church with the Reverend Stephen Dodson officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Thomas V. Martin, Rhys W. Lovell, Gayle E. Judy, Gary N. Judy, William Blair, and Douglas Dodson.
