June 16: Dressage schooling shows

start

Old Dominion Hounds Pony Club is planning a second series of Friday Dressage Schooling Shows this summer, following the first, very successful, series in 2005. The shows will again be held at Windsor Lodge Farm, just outside Flint Hill, and will start at 2 p.m. A new offering this year is a combined test, which will be open to Beginner Novice, Novice, and Training riders,

The schedule is as follows:

Dressage shows: June 16, July 14, August 11, and September 15

Combined test: July 9

These shows provide a wonderful opportunity for riders to show in a friendly, low-key, stress-free environment, and are particularly valuable for introducing young horses, or riders who have had little showing experience, to the show ring. For more information, and entry blanks, contact Lesley Arnold, at (540) 636-2344, or email lesleyamold@hotmail.com.
