New offices in the

School House

Complex

Lee Anna Whorton went from first through third grades in the smaller building next to the big school house. James Leake had his real estate office in the building. Now Antique Tables Made Daily occupies the upper level and this week we celebrate the opening of office space for RappFlOW in the section, where Rae’s deli served us fine food. How serendipitous that RappFlOW is now located along the banks of the Rappahannock River. We welcome RappFlOW to Sperryville! Foot-stomping and

hand clapping at

Apple Hill Bakery

In a picture perfect Sunday beside the Thornton River on the patio of the Apple Hill Bakery, Husnu Aydogdu treated us to an afternoon of Turkish music. Having just performed at the Kennedy Center, Mr. Aydogdu enchanted all of us with his talent and his magnetic personality. He invited even the most reluctant participants to sit with him and sing the chorus to songs. Singing, clapping, foot tapping and dancing filled our spirits with joy and good fellowship. The young women who were dancing are all in college or working and several are Mr. Aydogdu’s music students. The Turkish food available that day was excellent and only served to make this a special day.
